A Stable Careers Programme

At QIS, we are committed to providing impartial careers guidance through a meaningful programme that brings together all key components into a coherent whole. This programme actively encourages students to enrich their personal profiles, broaden their aspirations and explore a wide range of future pathways from Year 7 to Year 13.

Learning from Labour Market Information

It is important to us that both students and parents have access to high-quality information about occupations and career pathways, including different education routes, required qualifications and the opportunities they can lead to.

Addressing Every Pupil’s Needs

Our students have access to scheduled one-to-one meetings and assemblies at key decision points. They can also request additional meetings whenever further support is needed. Group guidance sessions are available to support students with tasks such as completing applications and preparing for entrance tests.

Linking Curriculum Learning to Careers

Discussions between subject specialists and students within curriculum lessons help highlight the relevance of subjects to future choices. Integrating careers into the curriculum enables students to better understand the value of their learning and become familiar with a wide range of career pathways.

Encounters with Employers and Employees

QIS students are encouraged to explore opportunities through the Unifrog platform, workshops, employer engagement and our alumni network. This exposure allows students to compare pathways in higher education, vocational training and emerging fields, equipping them to make informed and confident decisions about their future.

Experience of Workplaces

Our careers programme actively encourages students to explore their full potential by developing core employability and life skills through workplace experiences and volunteering opportunities, both in school and beyond.

Encounters with Further and Higher Education

QIS is proud to host an annual University Fair, alongside multiple university visits, mini-fairs, subject-specific events and trips to university open days.

Personal Guidance

We recognise the diverse needs of our multinational student and parent community and carefully consider how best to motivate, engage and prepare them for their future pathways.
