Class Dojo is used as a classroom behaviour management tool that promotes and supports positive behaviour both in school and at home. Children earn dojo points for positive behaviour, achievements and demonstrating our core values which links to our five classroom rules.
Class Dojo is used to celebrate weekly achievement awards, share children’s learning through portfolios, weekly newsletters, photo updates, and to communicate key messages and reminders. Parents can view their child’s learning journey, access learning activities and share milestones from home.
Children’s learning portfolios can be accessed via the ClassDojo app. These include group and individual observations, linked to the relevant areas of learning, along with a brief explanation of what your child has been exploring.
Parents are encouraged to contribute by uploading observations of learning that takes place at home. This helps build a rich picture of your child’s learning journey throughout the year.
A weekly newsletter is shared via Class Dojo to keep families informed about what children have been exploring in class. It highlights learning across areas such as:
The newsletter also includes important reminders and upcoming dates. Each subject area shares a video, interactive game or activity to help children extend their learning at home.
Each week, class teachers will upload 4–5 photos showing learning and development that has taken place in the classroom. A short message accompanies the photos, celebrating the children’s achievements and experiences.
These updates provide a great opportunity to start meaningful conversations with your child about what they have been learning at school.
